Driver FAQ’s:
Why has parking changed here?
NCP, who previously managed this car park, went into administration. Parking is now operated by Hozah, a UK-based parking technology company. We are committed to maintaining a well-run, accessible car park for everyone.
Parking was free recently – do I need to pay now?
Yes. Parking charges are now in effect following the transition to Hozah. Please check the tariffs on this page and make sure you pay before leaving the car park to avoid a Parking Charge Notice.
How do I pay for my parking?
There are three ways to pay. You can pay by card at the payment machines. You can also pay digitally using PaybyWeb, just scan the QR code on the signage and pay from your phone, no app needed. If you park here regularly, Hozah AutoPay lets you register your vehicle and payment details at hozah.com/autopay so you are charged automatically when you leave. Cash is not accepted.
What is Hozah AutoPay and do I need to sign up in advance?
AutoPay is Hozah’s simple & automatic payment option. Register your vehicle details and a payment card once at hozah.com/autopay, and you’re done. Every time you park at County Square or any Hozah-managed car park across the UK, your number plate is recognised on entry and exit, and the correct charge is applied automatically when you leave. No tickets, no machines, no fuss.
You do need to register before your first visit, but after that it works everywhere — one sign-up, every Hozah car park.
What is the Early Bird rate and how does it work?
The Early Bird rate is £5.00 and is available if you arrive between 07:00 and 09:00. To qualify, you must stay for more than 4 hours and no longer than 12 hours. It is a great option if you are coming in for a full day and arriving in the morning. The rate is applied automatically — there is nothing extra to do.
How does the car park know how long I have been parked?
Hozah uses Automatic Number Plate Recognition (ANPR) camera technology. Cameras read your number plate when you enter and exit, so your parking duration is calculated accurately.
What happens if I do not pay?
If you leave without paying, you have 24 hours to settle your parking charge at hozah.com/1251. Just enter your vehicle details, arrival time, and length of stay, and pay online. If there is no payment made after 24 hours, a Parking Charge Notice may be issued to the registered keeper of the vehicle. We want to make paying as easy as possible, so please use one of the available payment methods before you leave.
I have received a Parking Charge Notice. What should I do?
If you have received a PCN and believe it was issued in error, you can appeal by following the instructions on the notice.
